Richmond has been recognised as a great place to work and as one of the Breakthrough Culture Award winners for 2024.

Award winners are companies ranging from small start-ups to global giants across 22 different industry sectors. The awards are run by Hyer, a global media company and internet publisher which highlights workplace innovation and company cultures.

Hyer evaluated thousands of companies based on their current and future employee initiatives, results, and accountable commitments to determine their rank in employee feeling and employee innovation. In Richmond’s case, they held discussions with Human Resources and reviewed people practices and plans, and company priorities.

In announcing the awards, Hyer said: “No matter their size, the Breakthrough Culture companies for 2024 have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their employees and meet verified employee benchmarks, setting them apart as leaders in people-first culture. These companies understand that maintaining a truly progressive work environment isn't a mere checkbox exercise. It’s a long-term commitment, a promise to every individual that they matter, that they’re more than just their job title.”

Richmond Human Resources Director Bhavesh Ganesh said: “Whilst there is more to do, this is a great recognition of what we have achieved so far to create an inclusive workplace where our people are able to thrive. We continue working to ensure that everyone at Richmond has a clear purpose and a sense of ownership by understanding how the work we all do brings hope to patients, advances science and contributes to society.”

Hyer concluded: "The Breakthrough Culture honourees aren't simply adapting to the evolving landscape. They are the architects, building foundations for a future where companies are as passionate about their people as they are about their profits."
