Embracing a Meaningful Project
As the sun rises on the day of our staff volunteering event, our dedicated team will embark on a transformative journey to enhance the rooftop play area at Arc Nursery. Armed with paintbrushes, gardening tools, and a shared sense of purpose, we are poised to engage in a variety of activities, including painting, gardening, general clean-up, and waste removal. This hands-on project will directly impact the environment in which children's imaginations and dreams take flight.
Creating an Enchanting Space
The rooftop of Arc Nursery holds the promise of becoming a space where laughter, learning, and growth seamlessly intertwine. Our team's efforts will result in a vibrant and safe haven, cultivating an atmosphere of curiosity and creativity for our young ones. Through the creation of colourful murals, meticulous plant care, and ensuring a clean and inviting environment, we aim to ignite sparks of joy and wonder in the hearts of these budding talents.
Sonia Gilfillian, Interim Nursery Manager at ARC Nursery said: 'The staff and I would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers that attended the Arc Nursery, to carry out works around our gardens etc. From the moment the volunteers arrived they were all in good spirits, pleasant and approachable, with great senses of humour and conversations. Once on the roof garden they got 'stuck in' to the work that was asked of them after a short briefing, with a smile, enthusiasm, and joy. This was so great to see, and their energy was infectious, and I noticed that even whilst working they continued to show happiness! The roof garden looks transformed and amazing, and the painting in our other garden has made a huge difference as it looks much brighter and more inviting, not only for the children but also for the staff. Again, we would like to offer our thanks and say keep up the good work.'
